The tenets of Clan Vis Verus
The guidelines of Clan Vis Verus are few, but essential. All members are expected to uphold the tenets, and to report any clanmember or initiate who disregards them.
- Do not knowingly attack another member of clan Vis Verus (1)
- Protect your fellow members by participating in broadcasted hunts and strikes (2)
- Reap what you sow (3)
- When speaking on behalf of clan Vis Verus, one will speak respectfully regardless of the circumstances (4)
- Initiates will take the first opportunity to get their tag (5)
Notes on the Tenets
- (1) If you accidentally attack a fellow member, you will immediately ask forgiveness. If one of your victims turns out to be an Initiate, you will do your best to recognize them in the future. Note to initiates: until you become a full clanmember by aquiring your VV tag, members can not be expected to remember your affiliance. If problems arise between clanmembers, the members involved will consult the Primogen for resolution. The Primogen's decision will be respected.
- (2) Remember to check your broadcasts frequently, as they do not activate push notifications. I will do my best to send individual comments, but this gets more and more time-consuming as our clan grows.
- (3) Clan Vis Verus acts to protect its members from harassment - not to protect those guilty of harassment. If you arbitrarily instigate a personal vendetta and find your plate overfull, do not approach the clan to bail you out. We do not want the reputation of a band of bullies and brigands.
- (4) We never strike without warning. If you are being harassed, inform the Primogen. We will tell you to respectfully ask the agressor on behalf of clan Vis Verus to refrain from future assaults. Do not comment "U better stop fu%&$ing wit me, or my clan is gonna tear you a new one!" Rather, reply more to this general sentiment: "You are a worthy foe, however; I believe that X assaults within X hours is a bit Exessive. My clan tag stands for clan Vis Verus, and together we stand up for each other. Please refrain from further attacks, or you will witness how visciously clan Vis Verus protects it's members. (It is important to mention our tag, so that would-be agressors will come to recognize and avoid us on sight.)
- (5) Initiates, we do not expect you to pay money for loyalty points in order to change your name and get your tag. Just take the first opportunity to chase down free offers from the elders, and make your tag your priority.
